Fantastic 4K News for Harry Potter Fans

 

On the eve of the UHD and Blu-ray release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Warner Bros Home Entertainment announced today that all eight films in the Harry Potter series will be released on UHD Blu-ray this year. 

The March 15 UHD and Blu-ray releases of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will feature a Dolby Atmos soundtrack remixed for the home theatre environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead.

The last four films in the Harry Potter series will be released on March 29: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be available later in 2017.

The UHD Blu-ray Combo Packs will include a UHD Blu-ray disc with the feature films in 4K with HDR (for brighter, deeper colours), a Blu-ray disc with the feature films and special features in HD, and a Digital UltraViolet version of the feature films.

All eight Harry Potter films on UHD Blu-ray will feature DTS:X audio and have the same extras as the previous Blu-ray releases.
