Animal Kingdom Takes the Fall

SoHo is pre-empting Animal Kingdom to fast-track season three of The Fall.

The serial killer thriller will premiere on October 4, five days after it launches on BBC Two.

Animal Kingdom has been rescheduled for November 8 in the same slot (8.30 Tuesdays).

SoHo will precede the season three premiere with a box set weekend of season two on October 2.

Digital Spy recently ran this spoilers-rife guide to what to expect in season three and if you haven’t seen season two, don’t watch the trailer for the new series.

Of course, if you did see season two, you may not bother with the third. As The Guardian observed: “The season two finale of the drama starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan left many viewers frustrated and disappointed. How do the producers get fans back onside?”

According to TV Wise, “The show’s third season picks up from the season two finale, which saw Spector lay wounded after being shot.

“In the emotionally charged aftermath of the shooting, Gibson’s personal journey to exact justice for the victims’ families must begin with the blood-soaked fight to keep Spector alive.

“Joining the cast this season is Krister Henriksson, Aidan McArdle, Ruth Bradley, Aisling Bea and Richard Coyle.

“Archie Panjabi, who starred in the first two seasons as pathologist Paula Reed Smith, is not returning for season three.”
