APB All But DOA

TVNZ 1’s Monday line-up must be on borrowed time as the ratings for APB and Blindspot continue to languish.

Monday’s episode of APB averaged only 2.0% of the network’s target audience, 25-54 year-olds, while Blindspot averaged 1.9% and was out-rated by the second half of Prime’ movie, Exit Wounds.

In the 18-49 demographic, the crime dramas and Exit Wounds were neck-and-neck.

Meanwhile, one of the most popular shows on US TV, The Walking Dead, is turning into just that for TVNZ 2.

Monday’s instalment averaged only 1.8% of its target audience, 18-49 year olds, 2.3% of 25-54s and 1.6% of 18-39s.

Even so, it largely won the 9.30 hour against the return of Chicago Med on Three, which averaged only 1.8% of 25-54s, 1.5% of 18-49s, and 0.6% of 18-39s.

However, Three’s series premiere of The Wrong Girl at 8.30 won its hour in 25-54s (3.4%) and 18-49s (2.8%) opposite APB and TVNZ 2’s Life in Pieces and The Mick.

TWG had the advantage of following The Bachelor NZ, which won its slot opposite My Kitchen Rules in 18-39s (5.4% vs 5.0%), level pegged with it in 18-49s (5.4% vs 5.6%), and lost to it in 25-54s (5.3% vs 6.7%).

It was another tight night between Seven Sharp and The Project, with the latter winning in 18-39s, losing in 25-54s and virtually tying in 18-49s (2.6% vs 2.7%).

Mind Over Money With Nigel Latta ended its run with 3.3% of 25-54s, 3.2% of 18-49s, and 2.4% of 18-39s.

  1. For all the high-techiness of APB it fails to be anything more than a tired old cops how. The show is as stale as a two-week-old ciabatta.
