Guest Bookings: Colbert, Maher, DeGeneres

New episodes of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert resume on Tuesday (Prime, 11.35), with guests Melissa McCarthy and Portlandia writer/I Love Dick star Phoebe Robinson.

Also scheduled are: Lin-Manuel Miranda and Brooke Baldwin (12.30am Thursday); Peter Dinklage, Busy Philipps and a musical performance by Noname (12.05am Friday); Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Laura Benanti and a musical performance by The Revivalists (11.30 Friday); and Robin Wright (10.30 Monday).

Scarborough and Brzezinski are Donald Trump’s Morning Joe betes-noire while Wright will be promoting the return of House of Cards for the last time next month on Netflix.

Another Trump nemesis, Omarosa, guests on this week’s Real Time With Bill Maher (SoHo, 11.05 Monday), along with NBC News journalist Steve Kornacki, feminist author Rebecca Traister, conservative political commentator Reihan Salam and African-American studies professor Eddie Glaude.

But the episode will be most notable for Maher’s “epic rant” against political correctness and why it’s costing the Democrats votes.

Just confirmed for TVNZ 1’s Ellen DeGeneres Show (9am/2pm weekdays) are: Kunel Nayyar and Ellie Kemper (Friday); Keira Knightly and Kathryn Hahn (Labour Monday); Maya Rudolph and Bazzi (October 23);  Kym Douglas (October 24); and Jonah Hill and Whitney Cummings (October 25).
