HD Heads-Up: November 15-21

Sons of Anarchy takes a pit stop on November 18 due to the bikie drama being pre-empted the same week on FX in the US.

SOA is one of several HD series fast-tracked from the US whose runs are being interrupted by scheduling factors beyond the control of NZ programmers.

Sunday’s Agents of SHIELD was off-air this week and tonight’s The Flash is being sidelined only four weeks into its first season. (TV2 is replacing it with an episode from the three-part reality series World’s Worst Holiday Horrors.)

And at the start of the week it looked as if Gotham and SHIELD would be pre-empted on November 16 but on Tuesday TV2 advised it had just been informed that Gotham would screen as usual in the US.

TV3 will plug SOA’s gap, which coincides with lead-in The Blacklist’s mid-season finale on November 11, with a re-run of the 2007 movie, The Bourne Ultimatum.

The same week TV3 will screen in HD the network movie premiere of Shrek Forever After (7.00 Sunday) while TV2 will debut the Anna (Go Girls) Hutchinson horror, Cabin In The Woods (10.55 Friday).

Other coming attractions in HD include G – Force (TV2, 7.00 Saturday), Whiteout (TV2, 10.30 Saturday), Resurrecting the Champ (TV2, 12.30am Sunday), Ninja Assassin (TV2, 2.40am Sunday), Scooby Doo! Stage Fright (TV2, 8.45am Sunday), Dirty Dancing (TV2, midday Sunday), Drag Me to Hell (TV2, 11.30 Sunday) and Knight and Day (TV3, 8.30 Monday).

The same week TV3 will premiere Hercules: The Human Bear (7.30 Wednesday), a documentary about a trained grizzly bear from Scotland who had cameo roles in TV shows, while Girls’ Lena Dunham, Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Micky Flanagan and Sia will guest on the network’s Graham Norton Show (TV3, 8.30).
