HD Ratings: Seven Sharp Sliced and Diced

Three’s The Project bounced back on Tuesday to beat TVNZ 1’s Seven Sharp in all the key demographics.

It averaged 4.3% of 25-54s (vs 3.7%), 3.7% of 18-49s (vs 3.3%), 2.7% of 18-39s (vs 2.4%), and 5.6% of household shoppers with kids (vs 3.4%).

The stronger lead-in helped House Rules to rate higher on its second night, with 4.1% of 25-54s vs 3.7% for Monday’s premiere.

But it still lost to TVNZ 2’s The Great Kiwi Bake Off in all the core commercial demos and to TVNZ 1’s Outback Truckers except among HHS/k, with whom it finished second at 7.30.

Bake Off and Truckers seesawed in the 25-54 and 18-49 demos but TVNZ 2’s Australian Survivor dominated at 8.30, when it trounced the return of Sugar Free Farm and NCIS: Los Angeles with core demo averages of 2.7% – 4.9%.

TVNZ 1 rebounded with 20/20 at 9.30, the second half of which won all the key demos except 18-39.

Duke’s 8.30 movie Takers rated solidly, with 1.2% of 18-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s, while Prime’s The 2000s averaged 1.1% of 25-54s and 9.30 lead-out Mayday, 0.7%.

The night was keenly contested among 25-54s, with TVNZ 1 and TVNZ 2 sharing the spoils, while the latter topped the other core demos.

  2. Absolutely! SS continues to be the most watched show of the night any night!

  3. The Project is an excellent show but of course it depends on what or who they have on.

  4. The Project is mind-numbing rubbish. Jesse Mulligan does a much better job solo on National Radio. The other hosts and stories are forgettable. Bring back Campbell Live.
