HD Ratings: Blacklist Up Schitt’s Creek

TV3’s double-episode season finale of The Blacklist came up short against TV2’s The Mysteries of Laura and Schitt’s Creek.

The two-hour swan song averaged 3.0% – 4.9% of the commercial demographics compared to Laura’s 6.8% – 11.9% and Creek’s 3.6% – 7.5%. (Only in the 25-54 race did Blacklist top Creek.)

Of course, Laura had the benefit of lead-in My Kitchen Rules (11.6% – 16.4%), which crushed TV3’s The Xtra Factor (2.7% – 3.5%).

Even TV1’s 7.30 reality half-hours were 2-3 times more popular than Xtra Factor while Stalker (3.1% – 5.7%) seesawed or had the edge on Blacklist — although the latter did beat TV1’s Forever (1.8% – 3.0%).

TV1 narrowly won the night with its target 25-54 audience but TV2 easily won the other demos:

TV2’s Sunday night overhaul improved its fortunes, with The Illusionists special proving competitive: it averaged 5.7% – 8.7% against TV3’s network premiere of Despicable Me 2 (5.5% – 8.3%) to beat it in every key demo except 25-54.

While TV1’s Sunday (5.8% – 10.5%) largely won the 7.00 hour, local shows Nigel Latta Blows Stuff Up (3.5% – 5.7%) and When We Go to War (0.8% – 3.9%) finished third in their slots.

WWGTW even suffered the indignity of rating below lead-out Our Girl (1.0% – 5.9%).

TV2’s movie I Am Number Four (5.6% – 6.9%) dominated from 8.30 after a head-start on TV3’s The Dilemma (3.0% – 3.7%).

TV2 stitched up Saturday night with its movies while on Friday TV3’s Jono and Ben won three of the core demos and The Graham Norton Show all four.
