HD Ratings: Crime Pays Off for TV3

TV3’s Tuesday line-up helped it to win the night with the network’s target audience of 25-54 year-olds.

It averaged a 28.2% share of this demographic compared to 27.7% the previous week.

TV2’s share also was up, from 24.1% to 25.3% but TV One’s slipped from 18.8% to 16.8% as newcomer 24 Hours in A&E failed to improve on the low-rating wildlife documentaries that previously aired 8.30 Tuesday.

The biggest tussle was between NCIS and TV2’s Step Dave, which seesawed in the ratings.

The Kiwi comedy/drama comedy averaged 6.9% – 12.0% and won the 18-39 and 18-49 demos whereas NCIS rated 7.5% – 10.0% and was tops with adults 25-54 and household shoppers with kids.

Moreover, sister show LA at last is developing legs of its own in its third season, and won the 9.30 hour with 5.2% – 9.7% of the key demos compared to Revenge’s 4.0% – 7.0%.

At 10.30, Scandal averaged 1.6% – 3.5%.

TV2 dominated the early evening, with Shortland Street (16.0% – 25.0%), Nabbed (12.9% – 19.1%) and Neighbours at War (10.2% – 14.3%).
