HD Ratings: Lotta’ Love for Latta

TV One programmers would have been popping the champagne corks for Nigel Latta’s special on the dangers of drinking alcohol on Tuesday.

It averaged 4.3% – 9.7% of the key demographics, won the 9.30 hour among adults 25-54 and household shoppers with kids, and was competitive with TV2’s The Amazing Race: Australia v NZ in the 18-49 demo.

It also out-rated lead-in The Mentalist (4.0% – 9.1%) in two of the key demos and tied with it in a third.

But otherwise the night belonged to TV2, with Shortland Street (16.0% – 24.5%), My Kitchen Rules (9.2% – 17.4%) and Race (6.6% – 9.2%) while Embarrassing Bodies Down Under (4.7% – 9.0%) was competitive.

Not so TV3’s umpteenth re-run of The 40 Year Old Virgin, which finished third on only 3.7% – 4.8%.

Earlier, TV3’s The House That £100k Built averaged 2.7% – 4.0% against TV One’s Highway Cops (7.0% – 10.0%) and SCU (7.9% – 12.4%).
