HD Ratings: The Flash Loses to Found

TV2’s dramatic season finale of The Flash was out-paced by TV3’s Lost & Found.

The episode, which The Hollywood Reporter said “provided plenty of hints about season two and the spinoff Legends of Tomorrow,” averaged 2.8% – 5.2% of the key demographics.

It beat Lost & Found (3.6% – 5.4%) among household shoppers with kids but lost to it in the 18-39, 18-49 and 25-54 demos.

While The Flash finished well ahead of TV1’s Our Zoo (2.0% – 2.9%), it was up only slightly on superhero lead-out Agents of SHIELD (2.5% – 4.7%).

The latter faced tough competition from TV3’s Bodyshockers (5.0% – 5.6%), which won the 9.30 hour in all the key demos.

TV1’s Britain’s Got Talent (5.7% – 8.8%) dominated the early evening, with only Police Ten 7 narrowly beating its first half-hour in the 18-39 and HHS/k demos.

At 7.00, TV2’s Shortland Street averaged only 8.2% – 10.8%, which was comfortably ahead of the newsmags on TV1 and TV3 but well down on the same time last year.

In the 25-54 demo, it was only a point ahead of Seven Sharp and 2.5 ahead of Campbell Live, which once would have been unthinkable.

The night was closely fought in all the key demos but TV1 still won three of the four:

Wednesday’s Shortland Street rated much better (10.4% – 13,8%) ahead of My Kitchen Rules (10.4% -15.0%), The Big Bang Theory (9.3% – 12.0%), 2 Broke Girls (5.9% – 8.2%) and Once Upon a Time (2.2% – 3.4%).

TV3 only started to gain ground from 9pm with its re-run of Transporter 2 (4.8% – 7.8%) off the back of The Best of Top Gear (4.3% – 5.4%) and against TV1’s under-performing Descent From Disaster (1.1%  3.5%).

TV2 won the night in all the key demos and TV3 finished third:
