Sons of Anarchy rule, OK?

Anarchy rules and Hawaii Five-O says “Aloha” to 7+ ratings across the board.

TV3’s HD bikie drama, Sons of Anarchy, is on a high-octane roll, with last night’s episode scoring a ratings high, while lead-in Hawaii Five-O got a break from TV2 pre-empting two of its top-rating sitcoms.

The network aired the Kiwi comedy special, Stand Up for Christchurch, at 8.30pm instead of The Big Bang Theory and Cougar Town.

It delivered strong numbers – 11.2%-12.1% of the key demographics — but was several ratings points down on the HD imports.

This allowed Hawaii Five-O to rate above 7% in the 18-49 and 25-54 demo for the first time, although household shoppers with kids stayed steady on 8.4%.

But TV3’s Big Kahuna of the night was Sons of Anarchy.

It was watched by 12.8% of HHS/kids, 10.2% of 25-54 and 9.8% of 18-49 – numbers that TV3 would be delighted to post for any of its 8.30pm shows let alone midweek at 9.30.

TV One’s HD attraction, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Parenting, also was up overall while the sheen could be coming off TV2’s Two and a Half Men after years of weekly multiple airings — it was off 3-4 ratings points in each of the major demos.
