New Sky Pop-Up Channel Force to be Reckoned With

Sky Movies will launch a pop-up channel devoted to the Star Wars saga on December 6.

The six-movie marathon on Channel 035 will showcase showing a different Star Wars instalment each night, starting with Episode IV: A New Hope, and continuing in order  of production year).

From December 12 the movies, will play back-to-back but in episodic number order.

Here’s how the first week will unfold, on the eve of the next Star Wars adventure, Episode VII — The Force Awakens, opening theatrically on December 17:

  • December 6, 8.00: Episode IV: A New Hope (repeat at 10.45)
  • December 7, 5.55: Episode IV: A New Hope, followed by Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back at 8.00 (repeat at 10.45)
  • December 8, 5.50: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, followed by Episode VI: Return of the Jedi at 8.00 (repeat at 10.45)
  • December 9, 5.40: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, followed by Episode I: The Phantom Menace at 8.00 (repeat at 10.45)
  • December 10, 5.40: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, followed by Episode II: Attack of the Clones at 8.00 (repeat at 10.45)
  • December 11, 5.35: Episode II: Attack of the Clones, followed by Episode III: Revenge of the Sith at 8.00 (repeat at 10.45).
