New to SoHo2 in November

SoHo2 will screen HBO’s latest fantasy drama, His Dark Materials, the same time as the US from November 5.

Each new episode will air 3pm Tuesday and repeat at 8.30.

The Philip Pullman adaptation follows a seemingly ordinary but brave young woman from another world whose search for a kidnapped friend uncovers a sinister plot involving stolen children and a mysterious phenomenon called Dust.

Dafne Keen (Logan), Ruth Wilson (The Affair), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), James McAvoy (X-Men: Apocalypse), Clark Peters (The Wire), Andrew Scott (Fleabag), James Cosmo (Game of Thrones), Anne-Marie Duff (Shameless), Will Keen (The Crown), Ariyon Bakare (Good Omens), and Ruta Gedmintas (The Strain) star.

Mrs Fletcher (8.30 Thursdays from November 28) is billed as “a dual coming-of-age comedy” about the impact of internet porn and social media on the lives of an empty nest divorcée and her college freshman son.

Kathryn Hahn (Captain Fantastic) and Jackson White (SEAL Team) star.

Variety thought the HBO series, which launches October 27 in the US, “a comfortable, pleasing character study, one with points to make about the ways the sexual revolution has failed men and women both”.

Also new will be S2 of New Amsterdam (8.30 Wednesdays from November 6) and Very Ralph (November 18), the first documentary portrait of fashion icon Ralph Lauren.

Back for Box Set Saturdays will be New Amsterdam (S1), The Rook, Sweetbitter, Death and Nightingales, Ballers (S5) and Frayed.
