Press Release: Quickflix Announces Launch of Latest TV Service

Quickflix today announces the launch of its new TV service, which will offer latest season TV series to customers, whether they are Quickflix subscribers or not.

The new offering from Quickflix, which will launch soon, is brand new for New Zealand and will allow Kiwis to stream-to-own leading international TV shows on an episode-by-episode or season pass basis.

Quickflix has signed latest TV content deals with Starz, ABC and Hopscotch, and major new tie-ups will be announced over the coming weeks.

Headline shows signed up so far include The Walking Dead, Magic City, Spartacus, Hell on Wheels and more.

Highly-acclaimed US thriller and Silence of the Lambs spin-off series Hannibal will also feature alongside the new season of British comedy favourite Miranda, brilliant new US drama Rectify and popular Aussie dramas Redfern Now and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.

More US TV series will follow.

“I’m really excited about the new service and what it means for consumers,” Quickflix NZ managing director Paddy Buckley, said.

“This is a major development for legal TV viewing in this country and we’re delighted to be able to respond to consumer demand – up to now, many Kiwis simply haven’t been able to access some of this content or it has been locked behind paywalls.

“This new service also complements our existing subscription service. For latest TV, you only pay for what you want to watch and nothing else.

“We’ll be announcing further deals for great new TV with big name studio partners in the very near future and we’ll have plenty of other content news too.”

  1. Until Quickflix provides HD content I won’t touch them. I would rather buy a Apple TV. Just waiting for the Apple show on September 10th to see if a new model is being released.
