This weekend SoHo will premiere a Sky Atlantic companion series to Game of Thrones called Thronecast.

The last-minute addition to the schedule will air 10.30 Sundays, after the most recent episode of the fantasy phenomenon, starting with an hour-long broadcast that will pre-empt the previously listed The Americans.

Encore episodes, all of which are half-hour apart from the premiere, will precede each new instalment of Thrones on Monday nights.

The analytical panel show evolved from a season-one podcast and this year features a new host, The Great British Bake Off’s Sue Perkins.

She was in the headlines this week for being a victim of troll attacks over speculation she would replace Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear.

Each week she will be joined in the studio by a panel of cast, crew, celebrity fans and guest experts who will discuss and dissect the latest storylines.

There also will be special reports from Jamie East, audience interaction, sneak peeks of forthcoming episodes and behind the scenes footage.

In episode one Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) and superfan Dermot O’Leary are on the couch and there are interviews with the cast at the London premiere.
