Martin’s epic story of duplicity and treachery, nobility and honor, conquest and triumph. Combining clips from recent shows with insights, opinions and some absurd and not-so-absurd prognostications, After the Thrones

After helping newbies and fans to catch up with the first five seasons of Game of Thrones, Sky’s SoHo is launching a new weekly”WTF” primer from HBO for season six, which premieres 1pm Monday.

After the Thrones will give fans “a chance to dive deeper into the events and implications of each and every episode”.

Hosted by fellow journalists and Thrones devotees Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan (former hosts of the popular Watch the Thrones podcast), each edition will dissect the events of the latest GoT episode while exploring the complicated politics and history of George R.R. Martin’s epic story.

It will air 8pm Mondays following the encore of the week’s previous episode.

Rolling Stone pointed out HBO’s move into the world of after shows, as AMC did with Breaking Bad (Talking Bad) and The Walking Dead (Talking Dead), followed the network revealing it would not be sending screener copies to TV critics and reviewers to avoid spoilers across time zones.

“However, as George R.R. Martin has already noted, Season Six could serve as one big spoiler alert for his A Song of Ice and Fire series, as he did not complete work on The Winds of Winter, the sixth book in the saga, before his self-imposed deadline.”
