The Zone Keeps Up With Jones! From Dusk Till Dawn

Sky’s The Zone will screen two retro series that only recently aired on Jones!: Wonder Woman and The Man From Atlantis.

While the former will be in HD for the first time, the latter will be SD but should look much sharper than it did on Jones! because of upscaling.

Man From Atlantis will air 3.45pm weekdays from August 3, and Wonder Woman will take over the slot from August 31.

The Zone also is dusting off two other series that have been around the time-warp block: Stargate Atlantis (which will be in HD) and Sapphire + Steel (SD); the former will air 6.30 weeknights from August 31 and the latter, 4.35 weekdays from August 1.

Those who like their sci-fi/fantasy more up to date can look forward to the next season of From Dusk Till Dawn screening the same day on The Zone as it does in the US.

According to the publicity, “Season two explores a new chapter in this supernatural crime saga that expands the universe of our story across two borders from Mexico to the edgy, tricked-out Texas of Robert Rodriguez.

“It also deepens and complicates the core relationships between the characters, while adding new faces and dynamics.”

Dusk will air 9.30 Wednesdays from August 26 following a box set weekend of S1; also scheduled are box sets of Dead Liked Me (S2 plus the premiere of the movie, Life After Death) and Heroes (S3).

Other NZ premieres for that month include seasons four of Warehouse 13 (August 6), Haven (August 4) and Being Human USA (August 29-30) while screening here for the first time in HD will be seasons two of Babylon 5, eight of The X-Files and four of Angel.
