Three’s Ratings Building Blocks

The Block NZ continue to be a ratings powerhouse for Three, with the network notching up its second consecutive weekly win in its target demographic, 25-54 year-olds.

Three won the night three times last week — Thursday (25-54, 18-39), Friday (25-54, 18-39, 18-49) and Sunday (all four demos, including household shoppers with kids) — and averaged a 24.8 share for the week.

Week eight of The Block NZ won its timeslot in all four core demos on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday.

The show is averaging a 10.8 rating in the 25-54 demo and attracting an average audience of 213,000 – or 29.9% of the available audience.

Three reports Westside has gone from strength-to-strength, winning its slot on Monday in the 25-54, 18-49 and HHS/k stakes.

The Outrageous Fortune spin-off is averaging a 7.4 rating and 22.6% share of the 25-54 demo.

Other timeslot wins for the first half of last week included SVU on Tuesday  (all four demographics) and The AM Show on Wednesday morning (25-54, 18-39, 18-49).

Thursday’s action movie Hitman: Agent 47 won its slot (25-54, 18-39, 18-49) and on Friday the network scored with The Graham Norton Show (25-54, 18-39, 18-49), 7 Days (all four demos) and Fail Army (all four demos)

Last week’s success followed Three winning five nights of the previous week in all four core demos except one: Monday, Tuesday (25-54, 18-49), Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Its 33.0 share on August 13 was its highest since October 2013, thanks to X-Men: First Class winning its slot across all four demos and Newshub Live at 6pm recording a 31.4 share – its highest share year-to-date.

Three averaged a 24.4 share for the week. Other shows to perform strongly beyond The Block NZ and Westside were Three’s procedurals: Tuesday’s SVU (25-54) and Wednesday’s NCIS: Los Angeles (25-54, 18-49) and Hawaii Five-O (25-54).
