New Mindy Project for Disney+

Disney+ will stream the new Mindy Kaling comedy Not Suitable for Work from June 2.

It will open with a triple-episode, then roll out in weekly double-eps until the season finale on June 23.

The trailer dropped on Friday in the US but Disney+ only confirmed the show’s NZ launch today.

It centres around five work-mad twentysomethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighbourhood, Murray Hill.

Ella Hunt (Les Misérables, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1) heads the ensemble cast that includes Avantika (Mean Girls), Jack Martin (La Brea), Nicholas Duvernay (The White Lotus S3) and Jay Ellis (Insecure).

Kaling wrote and starred in The Office and The Mindy Project. Her latest series has Charlie Grandy (The Sex Lives of College Girls, The Mindy Project) as showrunner.
