$45 to Stream FIFA World Cup in Full

A TVNZ+ Event Pass to all 104 FIFA World Cup games will cost $44.95, TVNZ revealed this morning.

But the broadcaster’s first paid streaming product comes at the cost of platform disruption for thousands of viewers.

TVNZ doesn’t plan to extend paid subscriptions beyond key sporting events, some of which may stream in 4K (although not FIFA).

  1. Clint must be pleasantly surprised at the price. The list of free streamed matches certainly doesnt inspire so it will be subscribe for most, at a reasonable price. Uptake information will be interesting to see – and the financials in a year’s time (after FY27 has finished given where the tournament falls) even more interesting. — Mike.

  2. I’ve got PTSD from Spark Sports when neither the Watch Live nor Watch from start buttons worked as expected. — Jonathan.

  3. Pleasantly surprised Mike! Very good value for money I reckon. — Clint.

  4. I guess this is why TVNZ did their big app update the other week, to include pay per view and pay per season. — Paul W.

  5. Have tried in excess of 60 times to pay for the pass to no avail. The first 6 times was advised, after entering a code ONCE, that I had entered it too many times and had to wait 10mins. Other times, the payment button, pushed and retried 54 timed seems not to work. All hell will break loose if I wake in morning to find 54 x $44.95 missing from my account! — PAULHerbert.
