7 Days Doubles Double Parked’s Ratings

Three’s 7 Days drew 2-3 times as many 25-54 year-olds as the season finals of lead-outs Double Parked and Homebound 3.0 on Thursday.

The panel show averaged 79,869 viewers overnight in this core commercial demographic (3.88 rating/19.28 share) vs 36,463 viewers for Double Parked (1.78 rating/5.28 share) and 19,521 viewers for Homebound 3.0 (0.95 rating/5.96 share).

7 Days easily won the 7.30 hour, drawing nearly 10,000 more 25-54 year-olds than TVNZ 1’s RPA: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (2.95 rating/16.22 share) and about 25,000 more than TVNZ 2’s Kylie Minogue vs The Bee Gees (2.16 rating/11.76 share).

But TVNZ 2 bounced back with Heavyweight With Dave Letel (48,993 viewers, 2.39 rating/14.78 share) beating TVNZ 1’s Rich House Poor House (38,216 viewers, 1.86 rating/9.68 share) and Three’s comedies.

TVNZ 2 also led at 9.30 with Paranormal Caught on Camera, which narrowly topped TVNZ 1’s Coronation Street (23,685 viewers vs 22,910) while Three’s Newshub Late in its earlier slot averaged a competitive 21,372.

The night’s most-watched programmes in the key network demo were 1 News (171,146, 8.34 rating/48.64 share), The Chase (99,238 viewers, 4.84 rating/53.01 share) and Seven Sharp (92,368 viewers, 4.50 rating/25.62 share).

Prime’s live Netball World Cup coverage bolstered its primetime share of 25-54 year-olds, to 6.61, the highest after TVNZ 1 (24.26), Three (17.38) and TVNZ 2 (14.14).
