Acorn TV Extends Free Trial Period
Anglophile streaming service Acorn TV has extended its free trial period from seven days to 30.
The platform’s emphasis is on British TV, with some international fare. Most of it comprises vintage drama and comedy but Acorn has been commissioning original content as part of its global expansion.
One such example is local thriller The Sounds, with which it will share streaming rights with Sky TV.
The service also also has some exclusives, like period drama Home Fires and next month’s premiere of Irish comedy Finding Joy.
Library highlights include A Touch of Frost, Rosemary & Thyme, Midsomer Murders, Blood, Agatha Raisin, Line of Duty, Accused, Broadchurch, Grantchester, The Detectorists, Victoria, Humans, Doc Martin, Queens of Mystery, Father Ted, Black Books and The Inbetweeners.
To access this programming for a month-long free trial via a wide range of devices, including iOS (iPad and iPhone), Android (phone and Tablet), Android TV and Chromecast, enter the code ACORNTVNZ30 at http://acorn.tv.
