All or Nothing Touches Down at Last

Amazon Prime Video subscribers in New Zealand at last will be able to see one of the streaming service’s most acclaimed original series — one that’s soon to feature the All Blacks.

A real-life Friday Night Lights take on the NFL, All or Nothing goes behind the scenes of the coaches, families and players working towards competing in the Super Bowl.

The first two seasons will stream from Wednesday. The first follows the Arizona Cardinals’ 2015 season, from the draft through the NFC Championship game; the second tracks the Los Angeles Rams through a year unlike any other.

Said The Telegraph of the Emmy-winning season one: “Even for those who couldn’t care less about armour-plated rugby, the drama is compelling as the Cardinals slog through an exhausting year and reach a play-off that has the potential to change the fortunes of the team.

“Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, a champion athlete in his youth, provides all-American narration.”

Meanwhile, NZ Rugby has granted Amazon Prime access to follow the All Blacks rugby team for season three.

“This is an incredible opportunity to take the unique story of the All Blacks into a huge number of markets and households around the world,” NZR Chief Executive Steve Tew said.

“We are excited to provide a global audience a behind the scenes look at what makes the All Blacks one of the world’s most respected sports teams. The Amazon production will give an unprecedented insight into what makes this team tick.”
