And Now for Something Completely Different

Sky will screen Monty Python’s Flying Circus for the first time in HD as part of a Jones! pop-up channel to celebrate the troupe’s 50th anniversary.

It’s already run the original series on the Jones! linear channel, and Netflix has its own Monty Python retrospective that includes seasons 1-4.

But Netflix’s streams are SD-only whereas Sky has licensed the remastered-in-HD version that’s soon to be released on Blu-ray (no word yet on NZ availability).

The retrospective will run from October 2-6 and include movies, documentaries and specials.
