Another Batch of Star Wars Spin-offs for Disney+

So good has been the response to Star Wars: The Bad Batch that next year Disney+ will launch a second season of the animated series.

“Fans have enthusiastically embraced the action and drama of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and we are excited to see the Star Wars animated universe continue to expand on Disney+,” said Michael Paull, President of Disney+ and ESPN+.

“As the dedicated streaming home for the Star Wars franchise, we can’t wait for the second season of this fan-favourite animated series.”

“The entire Lucasfilm Animation team and I would like to thank Disney+ and our fans for the opportunity to continue telling the story of The Bad Batch.” executive producer Dave Filoni said.

Part one of the two-part season one finale will stream tonight.

Earlier this week, Disney+ released key art and revealed the cast for another Star Wars spin-off, Terrifying Tales.

The animated special from Lucasfilm and the LEGO Group is a seasonal celebration of the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy and will premiere October 1 as part of the Disney+ “Hallowstream” celebrations.

The voice cast includes Jake Green as Poe Dameron; Raphael Alejandro as Dean; Dana Snyder as Graballa the Hutt; Tony Hale as Vaneé; Christian Slater as Ren; Trevor Devall as Emperor Palpatine; Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as NI-L8; and Matt Sloan as Darth Vader.

Reads the blurb:

After the events of The Rise of Skywalker, Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé.  Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artefacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.

  1. I hope Disney+ will also have a season 2 of The Mysterious Benedict Society. Season 1 has finished now, feeling so sad as I absolutely loved it. It was such a fun delightful show from episode 1-8 ?
