Apple TV Guarantees Maximum Pleasure

Apple TV today released the first-look trailer for Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.
The 10-part “darkly comedic thriller” streams from May 20.
It follows newly divorced mum Paula (Tatiana Maslany) as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and youth soccer.
While struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis, Paula begins her own investigation into a crime she thinks she’s witnessed — one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self.

Apple TV’s also revealed a first-look image from its original movie, Propeller One-Way Night Coach, which has its world premiere at the 79th Cannes International Film Festival.
Directed by John Travolta, it’s set in the golden age of aviation and will stream from May 29. Reads the blurb:
A young airplane enthusiast Jeff (played by newcomer Clark Shotwell) and his mother (Kelly Eviston-Quinnett) set off on a one-way cross country odyssey to Hollywood, which transforms a simple flight into the trip of a lifetime. Between airline meals, charming flight attendants (played by Ella Bleu Travolta and Olga Hoffman), unexpected stopovers, larger-than-life passengers, and a thrilling glimpse at first class, the journey unfolds in moments both magical and unexpected, charting the course for the boy’s future.

Also from Apple TV is the first teaser trailer for Widow’s Bay, which streams from April 29.
It stars Matthew Rhys as the cowardly mayor of a small New England seaside town who must contend with superstitious locals who believe their island is cursed while he tries to turn it into a tourist destination.
But it turns out the locals are right: After decades of calm, the old stories that seemed too ludicrous to be true start happening again.
Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey co-star in the “genre-bending” 10-part series.
