Apple TV+ Updates: Foundation, The Crowded Room

The second season of Foundation will stream weekly on Apple TV+ from July 14.

The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire.

David S Goyer’s adaptation of Foundation chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.

Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann, Lou Llobell and Leah Harvey star while new to the series will be Isabella Laughland (Brother Constant), Kulvinder Ghir (Poly Verisof), Ella-Rae Smith (Queen Sareth of Cloud Dominion), Holt McCallany (Warden Jaegger Fount), Rachel House (Tellem Bond), Nimrat Kaur (Yanna Seldon), Ben Daniels (Bel Riose), and Dimitri Leonidas (Hober Mallow).

A new Apple TV+ thriller from Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) will stream from June 9.

The 10-part series will open with three episodes, then roll out one new episode a week.

The Crowded Room follows Danny Sullivan (Tom Holland) after he’s arrested for his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979.

It unfolds through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), revealing elements of Danny’s mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation.

The series is based on the real crimes of Billy Milligan, who was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder.

Emmy Rossum, Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, Thomas Sadoski and Zachary Golinger co-star.
