Are These Your 25 Favourite Friends?

TVNZ 2 will follow Thursday’s 7.00 global premiere of Friends: The Reunion with a weekend of curated re-runs that will pre-empt afternoon/evening programming.

While the stunt’s being promoted as the Friends Top 25 Omnibus, it actually will comprise 28 half-hours because some of the episodes are multi-part.

The first 14 will air back to back from 1.25 Saturday and the second 14 from 1.25 Sunday.

The episodes will be broadcast in order of how they were ranked by Rolling Stone magazine to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, starting with the two-part series finale and ending with episode seven of season two, The One Where Ross Finds Out.

“From mortifying Thanksgivings and jellyfish stings to cross-country road trips, wedding dress capers, and more, it highlights the unforgettable hijinks and heartfelt moments we can’t wait to watch, over and over, for another 25 years,” the magazine said of its selection.

Normal programming will resume 8.30 Saturday with RuPaul’s Drag Race and 8.30 Sunday with the movie The Mountain Between Us.
