Bathurst 1000 Wall to Wall – But Will It Be in HD?
It’s not yet known if TV3’s coverage of Bathurst 1000 coverage will be in HD.
The pinnacle of Australian motorsport will be broadcast for the first time in HD but TV3 has yet to strike a deal for the coverage.
“We are still negotiating with V8 Supercars whether they will give us access to the HD feed,” a network spokesman told ScreenScribe.tv.
TV3 is devoting 10 hours to the event on October 69. It will air from 9.30am-7.30pm, with only a five-minute interruption for 3 News at 6pm.
Bathurst 1000 will be part of a super sports Sunday for the channel: bookending the event will be an HD replay of the Ruby World Cup Quarter Final 2 and live HD coverage of QF4 from 8pm.
Meanwhile, Sky Sport 2 is dedicating this Sunday to rugby league, with the NRL Grand Final Breakfast at 11am, The Sunday Roast at 12pm, NRL Sunday Footy Show at 1pm, the NSW Cup at 2pm, the Toyota Cup at 4pm and the NRL Telstra Premiership at 6.30pm.
The three finals will be live in HD while Prime is wiping its Sunday night schedule to accommodate their delayed SD coverage from 6pm.
