Best Blu-ray Buys: Universal/Paramount in March
Trainspotting is one of four new back-catalogue titles that will be released for a bargain price next month on Blu-ray.
Universal Pictures NZ will offer it and The Breakfast Club in HD for $20 each from March 2 – the same day it launches Lock Up and Along Came Polly on Blu-ray for only $15 each.
The distributor also will run several March 2-April 13 promotions.
They will include, for $25 each, several recent releases, such as Death Race 2, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Step Up 3 and Tomorrow When the War Began.
Also discounted to this price will be: Get Him to the Greek, Gladiator SE, Highlander, The Lovely Bones, Robin Hood, Shutter Island and Up in the Air.
Selling for about $20 each will be: 4.3.2.1, the Bourne movies, Green Zone, Greenberg, Inglorious Basterds, Kick-Ass, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, No Country for Old Men, Public Enemies, Serenity, Total Recall SE, Wanted and The Wolfman.
On sale for about $15 each will be: American Gangster, Children of Men, Hard Rain, Inside Man, Jarhead, Mercury Rising, Unleashed and The Vampire’s Assistant.
Several box sets also will be discounted — Robin Hood/Gladiator, Back to the Future, the Bourne and Mummy trilogies — and seasons 12 and 13 of South Park.
