Big Appetite for Eat Well for Less NZ

With grocery costs rampant, there’s couldn’t have been a better time for TVNZ 1 to launch the season premiere of Eat Well for Less NZ.

Tuesday’s broadcast averaged 89,930 overnight viewers in the key 25-54 demographic (4.38 rating/27.59 share) to crush the season final of Three’s The Traitors NZ (which streamed earlier on Three Now) and TVNZ 2’s Taskmaster NZ.

The former averaged 60,909 viewers (2.97 rating/19.73 share) and the latter, 54,907 (2.68 rating/12.59 share).

Eat Well was the fourth most-watched programme of the night in the 25-54 stakes, with only TVNZ 1 staples 1 News, The Chase (5.30) and Seven Sharp beating it; Newshub Live at 6pm rounded out the top five.

Lead-out Paramedics won the 8.30 hour (65,813 viewers, 4.38 rating/27.59 share) against TVNZ 2’s NCIS: Hawai’i (35,482, 2.09 rating/11.08 share) and Three’s Accused (27,369, 1.33 rating/11.23 share).

TVNZ 1 had a huge peak demo share of 35.45, nearly 16 points ahead of Three (19.63) and 20+ points ahead of TVNZ 2 (14.81).

The most watched of the smaller channels were Rush (4.01 share) and Duke (3.59).
