Blu-Ray Alert: Ghosts of DVDs Past
Three Paramount Pictures classics are about to make their belated Blu-ray debut.
Ghost, Grease and Indecent Proposal will be released as part of a Mother’s Day promotion that includes, from April 21- June 2, four discounted back-catalogue titles from Universal: Bridget Jones’s Diary, Changeling, Love, Actually and Dream Girls.
These will sell from $25-$30 each while Ghost, Grease and Indecent Proposal will cost nearly $50 each.
The trio were released seven-to-nine months ago across the Tasman but had their NZ releases delayed by the distributor of Paramount titles, Scene 1 Entertainment, going into receivership.
Special features will include: for Ghost, a lenticular cover, a commentary by director Jerry Zucker and screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin, Ghost Stories: The Making of a Classic, Inside the Paranormal, Alchemy of a Love Scene, theatrical trailer HD and a photo gallery; and for Grease, an all-new sing-along track, deleted, extended, and alternate scenes with introduction by director Randal Kleiser, 25th Anniversary DVD Launch Party: Memorable Moments, interviews with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, four shorts and collectable photos.
