Blu-ray Alert: Sony’s Price Salvation
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment next month will offer back catalogue Blu-ray titles as recent as Terminator Salvation and The Ugly Truth for $35 each, and TV series such as Mad Men and The Tudors for $50 each.
The first of two Blu-ray campaigns will run from April 7-May 31 and include $25 editions of: Rambo, Open Season (and its direct-to-DVD sequel), The Patriot, John Carpenter’s Ghosts of Mars, A Knight’s Tale, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Kung Fu Hustle and Rogue Assassin (aka War); and $30 editions of The Punisher: War Zone, Lakeview Terrace, Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Cadillac Records.
From April 21-May 31, fans of Mad Men and The Tudors will be able to snap up the first two seasons of each for $50, along with season one of Damages (season two will screen shortly on TV One but will be released only on DVD).
