Bravo NZ’s #1 Challenger Network

Bravo continues to challenge the free-to-air supremacy of TVNZ 1, TVNZ 2 and Three more than any other network.

The achievement comes on the cusp of Bravo marking its 10th year on air in NZ.

While Bravo is an SD broadcaster on channel 4 and Sky channel 12, much of its content can be streamed in HD on platforms like ThreeNow’s Below Deck Vault and TVNZ+’s Bravo Vault.

Here’s the media release:

Bravo is New Zealand’s leading challenger network for the third consecutive year

Auckland, New Zealand – Wednesday 26, November 2025: Bravo New Zealand, the ultimate free-to-air reality and true crime destination, is the number one challenger network in peak for 2025, according to recent data from Nielsen.

Embraced by New Zealand audiences since its launch in 2016, this is the third consecutive year Bravo has claimed the title.

Bravo New Zealand is the free-to-air home of NBCUniversal’s broad portfolio of reality content, including some of the world’s most popular unscripted TV franchises and series from Bravo, E! and Peacock, as well as compelling true crime content from Oxygen.

In a competitive market, Bravo held its position as the number one challenger network for 2025 in key demos including all people 5+, 18-49s, women 18-49 and 25-54, household shoppers with kids, and Auckland 18-49s and 25-54s.

The channel’s share is at a four-year high among 25-54s in peak and VOD streams per episode are up 5% year-on-year on ThreeNow.

Below Deck Vault – the Bravo-branded FAST channel on ThreeNow, with curated episodes from the much-loved Below Deck franchise – saw 203% growth in monthly streams since launch, further cementing the appeal of Bravo content in New Zealand.

Top shows on Bravo in 2025 include Below Deck, Mayday: Air Disaster and 24 Hours In A&E.

On ThreeNow, some of the most popular Bravo content includes the Below Deck franchise alongside fan-favourites The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Snapped.

Bravo is dialing up the drama in 2026 with brand new series including The Real Housewives of London, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition and Ladies of London: The New Reign along with the highly anticipated new season of Vanderpump Rules and fresh seasons from fan-favourite franchise Below Deck.

Also, the compelling true crime series Snapped returns with new seasons alongside new series Killer Grannies.

“Bravo’s 2025 performance, continually driving growth and maintaining its position as the number one challenger network, underscores the power of our premium content and our deep connection with Kiwi audiences,” said Chris Taylor, MD, NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-to-Consumer and TV Distribution, APAC and Executive Chairman of Bravo New Zealand.

“Next year marks Bravo’s 10-year anniversary in New Zealand, a major milestone that celebrates a decade of delivering must-watch entertainment in Aotearoa and our commitment to continually evolve with increased touchpoints for consumers to connect with Bravo content .

“We have even more in store for 2026 with an exciting lineup of new series and the return of our most iconic reality favourites, ensuring Bravo continues to be the go-to linear destination for premium unscripted content.”

One Response to “Bravo NZ’s #1 Challenger Network”

  1. I guess those Highway Patrol repeats and 24 hours in A&E episodes really helped. I feel like the non Bravo shows are driving its growth which is rather ironic. Pure speculation but I wonder if they will resurrect the Real Housewives of Auckland to celebrate its 10 years on air, they may even be able to claim a production rebate. — Leo.
