Cold Feet Doesn’t Foot It

TVNZ 1’s season two premiere of Cold Feet received a lukewarm reception on Sunday.

It averaged only 1.3% of the network’s target audience, 25-54 year-olds, off the back off a less-than-regal 2.9% for Victoria (down from 4.6% the previous week).

Both were hammered by Three’s re-run of Bridesmaids, which won the 8.30-10.30 period with a 25-54 average of 3.9%.

It opened with 5.0%, off the back of Married at First Sight NZ’s time-slot winning 6.6%, and peaked at 4.6%.

TVNZ 2’s 7.00 premiere of the movie Pixels was more popular, with a 25-54 average of 4.4%, but couldn’t catch Married.

Indeed, the only two quarter-hour segments it won were post-Married, opposite the start of Bridesmaids (against which TVNZ 2’s Stolen averaged 3.0% of 25-54).

It was a similar story in TVNZ 2’s target demographic, 18-49, with Pixels averaging 3.6% and Stolen 2.3% against Married’s 5.9% and Bridesmaids’ 3.4%.

Episode two of Prime’s Decades in Colour boosted its Sunday ratings, with 2.3% of 25-54 and 1.7% of 18-49 — up from 1.7% and 0.9% respectively for its season two launch the previous week.
