Coming Soon: Cinderella, Bosch
Amazon Prime Video has announced the premieres of two key launches: a new take on Cinderella and the final season of detective drama Bosch.
The Cinderella musical, which includes Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel and Billy Porter in the cast, will stream from September and S7 of Bosch in June.
“Cinderella is a classic we all know and love, but this time with a modern unique twist and starring the sensational Camila Cabello and an all-star cast,” Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke says.
“Producer James Corden and the filmmaking team have taken this beloved fairytale and revamped it with a fresh, empowering perspective that will resonate with audiences and families around the world.
“We couldn’t be more excited for our global customers to sing and dance along to director Kay Cannon’s reimagination of this classic story.”
The movie co-stars Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine and Pierce Brosnan.
The final eight episodes of APV’s longest-running original series will stream from June 25 (view the trailer here).
Based on Michael Connelly’s 2014 novel The Burning Room and the real arson case that inspired it, S7 puts Detective Harry Bosch’s famous motto centre stage: “Everybody counts or nobody counts.”
When a ten-year-old girl dies in an arson fire, he risks everything to bring her killer to justice despite opposition from powerful forces. The highly charged, politically sensitive case forces Bosch to face a grueling dilemma of how far he is willing to go to achieve justice.
IMDb TV, Amazon’s premium free streaming service, will begin production on a Bosch spinoff series later this year, starring Titus Welliver, Mimi Rogers and Madison Lintz.
