Coro St Shuts Up Shop for the Week

Coronation Street won’t return to primetime until July 15 because of its UK scheduling being disrupted by live sport.

TVNZ says tonight’s and Thursday’s episodes are being pre-empted because of “an international clearance issue”.

That “issue” is due to ITV’s coverage of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 pre-empting the soap and because TVNZ 1 airs Coro St so close to the UK, there’s a knock-on effect here.

It’s replacing the primetime broadcasts with double-episodes of Travel Man and the afternoon re-runs with Border Patrol.

To whet fans’ appetites in the meantime, here’s a preview of what’s coming up on the cobbles.

Sister soap Emmerdale also is affected. The Sunday afternoon episodes are being dropped for an extra episode of Find My Country House Canada on July 13, 20 and 27.

While the weekday broadcasts will continue, their running order has changed to align with the UK’s.
