Disney+ Not Yet Over the Hill

All 10 episodes of the King of the Hill revival will stream on Disney+ from August 4 (see trailer here).
The original Emmy-winning ‘toon ran for 13 seasons from 1997-2008 and clocked up more than 250 episodes.
Disney+ has commissioned two new seasons. S14 opens with Hank and Peggy’s return to Arlen, Texas after years of selling propane in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg.
There they reconnect with old friends Dale the conspiracy theorist, the inarticulate Boomhauer and Bill the military barber, who help the Hills navigate a changing world.
Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with childhood pals Connie, Joseph and Chane.
Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom and Toby Huss reprise their roles, new to the cast is Ronny Chieng as returning character, Kahn Souphanousinphone.

A late addition to Disney+ this month is the spy thriller, The Amateur, which streams from July 17 (see trailer here).
It stars Rami Malek as a CIA codebreaker who evolves from analyst to avenger after his wife dies in a terrorist attack. Laurence Fishburne co-stars.
Disney+ calls it “a riveting story of love, loss, and retribution” and cites its impressive 88% “Verified Moviegoer” score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Popcornmeter — even though critics were less generous.
Reads the Rotten Tomatoes consensus: “Malek is a compellingly unconventional action hero in the otherwise formulaic The Amateur, which dispenses justice with solid execution but a curious lack of emotional stakes.”

S2 of Disney+’s Australian Original series Shipwreck Hunters Australia will premiere August 27, with all episodes dropping. Reads the blurb:
