Disney+ Renews Furious, Alice and Steve

Disney+ has renewed two new series for second seasons: Furious and Alice and Steve.

Furious’ S2 greenlight was announced three days ahead of the serial killer thriller’s season finale on Monday.

It tracks the parallel paths of an FBI agent (Emily Rossum) and a female killer (Lola Petticrew).

Disney reports series viewership has grown week on week. Views for the penultimate episode were up 40% from the premiere (based on one-day views).

The Jemaine Clement comedy, Alice and Steve, also will be back.

In S1, his character, Steve, devastates best friend Alice (Nicola Walker) when he starts dating her 26-year-old daughter (Yali Topol Margalith).

“I am so thrilled that Alice and Steve has been given a second season,” creator Sophie Goodhart said.

“No one will be prepared for what happens next, especially not Alice and Steve.”
