Double-Barrel Bosch Bow
Great news for fans of Amazon Prime’s Bosch: season four streams from April 13 and season two at last has come online in this territory.
Since its launch here, Amazon Prime has offered seasons one and three of Bosch but not S2.
That’s because Sky still owned the streaming rights. But the series is no longer on its Neon platform and now S2 can be viewed in 4K on Amazon Prime.
The crime drama’s availability on Amazon Prime from April 1 is especially welcomed if you’ve only seen it in substandard definition on what was Sky’s Box channel.
Bosch may not be the best example of its genre but the LA noir looks absolutely fantastic in 4K and is reason enough alone to take out a trial Amazon Prime subscription.
In S4, Harry Bosch investigates the murder of an an attorney on the eve of his civil rights trial against the LAPD.
Reads the blurb:
Bosch is assigned to lead a task force to solve the crime before the city erupts in a riot. Bosch must pursue every lead, even if it turns the spotlight back on his own department. One murder intertwines with another, and Bosch must reconcile his past to find a justice that has long eluded him.
Another 4K series languishing in SD on Box successor Sky 5, Longmire, also is a must to see in its native definition (or HD) on Netflix.
In other Amazon Prime streaming news: Deadline reports Kiwi Karl Urban has been tapped to star in Amazon’s straight-to-series superhero drama The Boys.
And S3 of All or Nothing (from April 27) will follow the Dallas Cowboys through their tumultuous 2017 campaign, which they enter with Super Bowl aspirations and exit one game short of the playoffs after a roller-coaster of controversy and emotion.
Amazon Prime is using the success of this Emmy-winning series to launch additional sports programming under the All or Nothing umbrella, including inside-the-locker room takes on the All Blacks throughout 2017 and Manchester City, both of which will stream later this year.
