Duke Cuts Live PD Uncut

TVNZ Duke is pulling Live PD Uncut from its Friday night schedule because of the US rioting.

It will replace the reality series with stand-up specials for the next three weeks: Danny Bhoy Live: At the Festival Theatre (10.15 Friday); John Bishop Live: Rollercoaster Tour (10.20, June 12); and Russell Brand Live: Messiah Complex (10.25, June 19).

The channel’s also swapping slots for Spy Wars With Damian Lewis and Mega Transports.

As of tonight, the former will air 9.30 and the latter, 8.30.

The Damian Lewis-fronted series has been rating lower than not only its lead-out but also its lead-in, The Simpsons.

Last week it averaged 0.1% of viewers 18-49 vs Mega Transports’ 0.6%. It was the same across the other core commercial demographics.

Only in the 5+ demo was it more popular, which suggests the cracking spy yarns would have been a better bet for TVNZ 1’s older-skewing audience.
