Fab Four Reboot Three-Night Event

Disney+ will premiere its latest Beatles docuseries in three consecutive instalments from November 26-28.

The Beatles Anthology is a restored and expanded version of the landmark 1995 series, complete with an extra episode.

The first three will debut on November 26, the second three on the 27th and the last three on the 28th.

It’s the same strategy Disney+ adopted four years ago for The Beatles: Get Back.

Several elements of the original series have been updated, including an incredible footage restoration and sound mix overseen by the Apple Corps production team working with the technicians at Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post in Wellington. Reads the blurb:

John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr take us along for the ride as they revisit the highs and lows and twists and turns of The Beatles’ long and winding eight years as a band. The series spans the band’s gritty, hungry early days, to the phenomenon of Beatlemania and global superstardom. The series’ new ninth episode features illuminating and previously unreleased footage of Paul, George and Ringo during the creation of the original 1990s Anthology series and music project.

Anthology will become part of The Beatles Collection on Disney+, joining Let It Be, Beatles ’64 and the Emmy-winning The Beatles: Get Back.

Said Radio Times in its preview: “While it doesn’t offer much in the way of revelation, this film of their reunion provides even more of the one thing Beatles watchers most crave, which is to watch them in the room with each other, just behaving.”

Disney+ also has announced the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be back for a season three reunion special hosted by Vanderpump Villa star Stassi Schroeder on December 4. Reads the blurb:
