Final Trailer for The Tomorrow War

Amazon Prime Video today dropped the last trailer for its new sci-fi movie, The Tomorrow War, starring Chris Pratt and The Handmaid Tale’s Yvonne Strahovksi.

It will stream from July 2. Reads the blurb:

The world is stunned when a group of time travellers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

Also new is the trailer for another Amazon Original, Nine Perfect Strangers, which APV will stream from August 20.

The eight-part drama stars Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy in their first project together.

Based on Australian author Liane Moriarty’s best-seller, it’s produced by the teams behind Big Little Lies and The Undoing. Reads the blurb:

Filmed on location in Australia, the drama is set at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation, nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resorts director Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.

The excellent ensemble cast also includes Tiffany Boone, Bobby Cannavale, Luke Evans, Michael Shannon, Regina Hall, Manny Jacinto, Melvin Gregg, Samara Weaving and Asher Keddie.
