First Look: East of Eden

Netflix will premiere its South Island-shot East of Eden on October 1.

Today it released eight images from the John Steinbeck adaptation starring Florence Pugh, Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, Hoon Lee, Tracy Letts, Ciarán Hinds, Martha Plimpton, Joseph Zada and Joe Anders.

The multigenerational saga follows the Trask family through generations shaped by ambition, betrayal, and the haunting, indelible antihero Cathy Ames.

Unlike the book, the limited drama’s focus is on Cathy (Pugh).
