First Teaser Tintin Poster Released

Blistering barnacles! The first Adventures of Tintin 3D poster has been officially released for publication.

The Secret of the Unicorn is the first in a planned Peter Jackson-Steven Spielberg produced trilogy; it was directed by Spielberg and will open here on Boxing Day, with the Blu-ray release a good bet for Easter.

The screenplay was co-written by Steven Moffat, who has two new series starting this week on NZ TV.

The first is the latest — and scariest — Doctor Who on Thursday (Prime, 8.30pm) and a new twist on the world’s most famous sleuth, Sherlock, on Sunday (TV One, 8.30pm).

Meanwhile, Jackson’s extended edition of The Lord of the Rings trilogy has been confirmed for a NZ Blu-ray release on June 8 — two weeks ahead of the US and the UK, albeit for a Middle-earth shattering $140.
