Good Bones Ready to Binge

Dark Kiwi comedy Good Bones will launch as a box set on ThreeNow and Neon the same day it premieres on Three (8.30 Thursdays from September 17).

From the team behind the BAFTA-nominated series After the Party and the International Emmy Award-winning short-form series INSiDE comes the dark crime comedy Good Bones, premiering on Three, ThreeNow and Neon on 17 September.

Good Bones stars award-winning comedian Josh Thomson (Win or Lose, The Office Australia, Young Rock) and award-winning actor, director and writer Aidee Walker (Outrageous Fortune, One Lane Bridge, The Convert), alongside an all-star ensemble cast featuring Wesley Dowdell, Michael Hurst, Justine Smith and up-and-coming comedian Janaye Henry.

When risk-averse bank worker Sal Anderson (Thomson) panic-buys a crumbling “as-is” house at auction, he thinks he’s securing a future for his pregnant wife Meghan (Walker).

Instead, he’s unleashed a nightmare. The house is a wreck — and according to Meghan’s Mum Deb, it’s where an Olympic hopeful, Linda Peach, vanished without a trace many years ago.

But as Sal spirals trying to fix the house (and his mounting sense of dread), Meghan quickly becomes obsessed with Linda’s cold case, convinced she’d never “run off” before the Olympic trials and a growing sense she may have been murdered.

And as they renovate, the house starts giving up its secrets: hidden rooms, buried clues, and a disturbing sense that the truth wants out.

Their only help is Wavy Davey (Dowdell), an eccentric handyman with a suspicious connection to the house and an interest in mind altering substances — and to the night of the disappearance.

What begins as a DIY renovation quickly turns into a full-blown investigation, dragging Sal and Meghan into a twisted history of betrayal, obsession, and mistaken identity that no one could ever have imagined.
