HD Heads-Up: Modern Family, All New Simpsons, Bones

TV3 launches its new season this weekend with the Sunday night HD juggernaut of All New Simpsons (7.30pm), Modern Family (8pm) and Bones (8.30pm).

The 21^st season of The Simpsons opens with Homer cast as the superhero of a movie based on the Comic Book Guy creation, Everyman; Seth Rogen guest stars.

Modern Family is an acclaimed satire about nuked families from some of the best writers on Frasier, Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd; Married With Children’s Ed O’Neill and Boston Legal’s Julie Bowen head the ensemble cast.

Entertainment Weekly dubbed it “the best new sitcom of the fall in part because it’s not recognisable as any other sort of sitcom” while the New York Times declared it to be “the best new half-hour of funny television in a season rife with half-hours of funny television.”

Bones begins its fifth season with Booth (David Boreanaz), having just recovered from brain surgery, reuniting with his partner in crime solving, Brennan (Emily Deschanel).
