TV2 will screen the network movie premiere of Gravity on May 8 midway through TV3’s re-run of Avatar. The latter will start at 7.00 and the former at 8.45. TV2 also has two other premieres that weekend — The Legend of Hercules (9.30 Saturday) and The Family (11.25 Saturday) — while TV3 will premiere The Fault in Our Stars on Monday at 8.30 …

TVNZ reports Monday’s season premiere of My Kitchen Rules won its slot with 18-49 year-olds (8.4 rating/24% share) as did stablemate First Dates Australia (5.5 rating/19% share); lead-out Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce averaged a 2.3 rating/11% share …

TV3 will premiere season 32 of Survivor, Kaoh Rong, another Brawn-vs-Brains-vs-Beauty contest in which 18 castaways are let loose on a Cambodian island, on May 11 at 4pm. It will open with a 90-minute premiere that The Hollywood Reporter thought was “nicely balanced” and continue 4.25pm weekdays …

Prime ended Limitless’ run last night with a mid-season finale the same week the show’s full season wound up on CBS. Although the US ratings have been “steady“, the movie spin-off has yet to be renewed. The Hollywood Reporter argues it’s “TV’s most creative procedural … being slightly better than it needed to be for 22 episodes — slightly cheekier, slightly more stylish, slightly smarter and slightly more inspired” (the mid-season finale repeats 10.30 Sunday) …

Soon to end their runs are TV One’s A Place Called Home (May 12) and TV2’s The Cul De Sac (May 8), Surveillance Oz (May 12) and Friends (May 13). But instead of replacing the last with 5pm weekday re-runs of The Simpsons , TV2 will wheel out repeats of America’s Funniest Home Videos …
