❏ Superhero fans will find their favourite fix on Saturday afternoons from February 20, when TV2 will resume season two of The Flash at 2pm and continue Supergirl at 3pm. They’re part of a new-look line-up that include the season three premiere of The Fosters at midday and the return of Pretty Little Liars’ sixth season at 1pm. The last primetime episode of Supergirl will air 7.30 Friday, where it was given a three-week trial after failing to fly on Sundays …

❏ TV2 will screen the network movie premiere of American Hustle on February 20 at 9.15. The network’s other coming attraction in HD that week include The Golden Compass (7.00 Saturday), At Any Price (midnight Saturday), The House Bunny (8.30 Sunday) and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (8.30 Friday) …

❏ After The Secret Life of Cats and Secret Life of Babies, watch for Secret Life of 4 Year Olds, which TV One will air 8.30 on February 23 (ahead of the premiere of the Christchurch earthquake doco, The Art of Recovery). “This show was definitely an entertaining watch,” said one psychologist. “However, focus tended to be on the comedy of conversation rather than the developmental insight drawn from this unique observation.” Nonetheless, its popularity in the UK spawned a series, The Secret Life, about four-, five- and six-year-olds …

❏ “Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s HBO series rocks,” says Deadline Hollywood of Vinyl, a ’70s rock music opus which premieres 8.30 Monday on SoHo. “You could call this 10-episode season GoodRecordFellas – in the best way.” The Hollywood Reporter likens its potential to “some kind of rock’n’roll Game of Thrones” while Variety says of the “messy” but promising two-hour premiere, “So far, the album isn’t quite as good as the liner notes” …

❏ Starz has commanded a sequel to The White Queen, The White Princess, which will dramatise the War of the Roses and the rise of the House of Tudor from a female perspective. “There is a dearth of programming that tells women’s stories and The White Queen was embraced with great success by audiences worldwide,”  Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik said in a statement. “The passionate fanbase for Philippa Gregory’s historical novels are undeniable, and we are confident The White Princess will become the next must-see fandom drama series” …

    All these new changes now happening, it’s about time — and there needs to be more just to boost up good viewership. We should gain crime action dramas and a variety of entertainment shows, like game shows and talent quests.
