HD Heads-Up: January 12

  

TV3 will screen the network movie premiere of Fifty Shades of Grey on January 22 at 8.30. It will air opposite TVNZ 2’s HD repeat of The Hangover Part 3, which will follow the free-to-air premiere of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. TVNZ 1 also has a network movie premiere that weekend: Jersey Boys (10.35 Saturday) 

The rest of TV3’s HD coming attractions for that week will include re-runs of Back to the Future III (7.00 Saturday), Margaret (11.00 Sunday), Nanny McPhee Returns (8.10 Monday), RIPD (8.05 Tuesday) and Fast and Furious (8.30 Thursday) …

TVNZ 2 will repeat Bringing Down The House (9.10 Saturday), Jack and Jill (11.20 Saturday), Scream 3 (10.30 Sunday), Starsky & Hutch (8.30 Wednesday) and Thor (7.30 Friday) while Prime has the modern classics Goodfellas (8.30 Sunday), Braveheart (8.35 Monday) and Pink Floyd – The Wall (8.35 Tuesday) …

Prime will premiere Fishing Impossible ahead of Braveheart. The Guardian dubbed it “Top Gear for anglers” while The Independent quipped: “If you want to know how you catch crabs, then this is one of the nicer ways to find out” …

TV3 will screen a double episode of The Celebrity Apprentice on January 27 …

TVNZ 2 will re-run double-eps of the latest season of The Big Bang Theory 7.30 Mondays from January 23 …

The same day it will reinstate re-runs of Friends from the beginning (5.00 weeknights) …

    Phew. Great to see TVNZ 2 finally showing that new show Friends everyone has been talking about.

  2. Just shift Friends and Two and a Half Men to Comedy Central from TVNZ 2 because they belong on Comedy Central.
